We provide language services both from English and into English of the following languages: Catalan, French, Italian or Spanish. If necessary, we can also coordinate translations in other languages.

Timing depends on the language, volume and how technical the document is. Contact us and we will respond within 24 hours with a quote.
As a general rule our turnaround times are:

Standard

• Our standard translation delivery time is 3 to 4 days for short documents
• In general, our translators can translate about 2000 words per day (3-4 pages)

Urgent (surcharge of 30%)

• We also provide an urgent 24-hour translation service for short documents (2 to 3 pages)
• For longer documents, we will prioritise them and deliver as soon as possible without compromising quality

The cost depends on the language, volume and how technical the document is. Contact us and we will respond within 24 hours with a quote.
As a general rule, the following rates apply for translation:

General translation service (at rate of 0.10 – 0.15 euros per word of original document)

• Accurate translation by specialised translator
• Final quality control

Premium translation service* (at rate of 0.15 – 0.20 euros per word of original document)

• Accurate translation by specialised translator
• Revision by second specialised translator
• Final quality control

*The premium service is recommended for documents that are to be published

Other conditions
• We apply a minimum charge of €50 per order.
• We also apply a surcharge for rush jobs (+ 30%) and discounts for large jobs with repetitions.

We are seriously committed to quality and have adopted a set of measures to be implemented before, during and after our translation process (in line with ISO 17100). The key to the quality of our translations is our team of experienced and specialised translators. All our translators have over 10 years’ professional experience in the field. They systematically check and revise all documents to ensure the quality of texts before delivery. We complete an assessment sheet with detailed information on the types of errors encountered. All translations are cross-checked following our double-check policy.

PIL Translations has a strict customer confidentiality policy. Your files are private and protected from unauthorised access. All of our professionals have signed NDAs and strict confidentiality agreements. We are happy to sign other agreements when necessary.

PILs Translations accept payment via bank transfer. Payment is made at the time of placing your order (for first order), and thereafter within 30 days of invoicing.
After you place your order your document is reviewed and a translator with relevant expertise begins carefully working on your document. The translation is then double checked for accuracy and the final product is returned to you via email (see ISO 17100 translation workflow).
Yes, we can certify a translation before a notary public who only certifies the signature and credentials of the translators.
